The Bradford Factor is a system used to calculate a score for each employee's absence over a year.

Tru-Time uses the Bradford score to identify individuals with serious absence patterns. It also helps highlight early causes for concern and often is one of the starting points in an attendance procedure to be monitored, recorded and reported within the absence management calendar in Tru-Time.

The higher the Bradford score, the more disruption the employee is causing your company through absence.

Tru-Time calculates the Bradford Factor by;

•  Looking at the number of sick days taken over a given period and the number of 'occurrences', i.e. periods of repeated sickness

• The factor increases in conjunction with the number of short term absences; highlighting which employees may be prone to a higher number of sickness than average. Managers will be alerted to such  anomalies and can monitor as appropriate.
